At the bottom of the website I found this information:
"Source: Contemporary Authors Online, Thomson Gale, 2006.
Source Database: Contemporary Authors Online"
The site lists the author, and although it did not comment on what level of education he has received, the author seems appropriate The material is thorough and not too technical. The site is directed towards an educated person, but he or she does not require any previous knowledge of the subject. I found no spelling or grammatical errors in the site. It appeares to be edited and the writer has an in depth knowledge of the material. I did not find any bias: much of the information is biographical and I checked the facts with other sites and they are accurate. The criticism found on the web page is balanced. The information is current; the date at the bottom is 2006. The links on the top of page are all accessible and appropriate. They contain important information.
Yes, if I decide to use Borges as my author, I will most likely use this site in my project. It passes all the requirements for a safe and accurate site. It also includes useful, interesting information.

Kimmy, I am confused. Is this a website or is this off the online data base?

Kimmy,
While the Gale databases are great resources, they are subscription databases of articles that have already been edited and published in print--not a true free website. You have done a great evaluation of the database, but in order to complete this assignment you need to evaluate a website on the free web. Go to google or any other search engine to find a site to evaluate. I welcome any questions you have.
Thanks,
